Notes

mid-May 1959 - Sc79958/9 had arrived in Hamilton for driver training by mid-May 1959. The former had worked the first month of the Beith branch service - not devoid of failure and replaced by SC79979 (after it had spent several months on the Crieff branch). SC79959 had been on the Aviemore - Elgin line until replaced early in April by Sc79970. The other Park Royal SC79974 was at Ayr.

Disposal

Scrapped by J Connell & Co, on location at Eastfield depot

circa 1964

A Park Royal railbus at Kilmarnock probably on an Ayr service circa 1964/5. The headlamp above the blind shows it's one of the two original ScR vehicles 0 or 4. They differed in the yellow panel era - 79974 had the corresponding part of the headcode panel painted yellow (this one), on the other vehicle it remained green. Stuart Mackay Collection.
