Notes

13th April 1956 - 79055/79271 and 79056/79272 arrived at Leith Central from the ER. They started running on the Guldane branch to train drivers.
21/07/1956 - E79055/79271 operated all passenger workings on the Crieff branch, other than the 6.00pm Stirling to Crieff, from 11th June to 21st July. The set ran empty from Perth North shed to Comrie in the morning and returned light at night after working the 6.03pm Gleneagles to Comrie. On July 22nd the set ran light to Leith Central.
8th August 1956 - 79056/79272 were noted on the 2.50pm Edinburgh Waverley - North Berwick and 3.55pm return. 79055/79271 was on the 6.00pm North Berwick - Waverley.
Nov-68 - 79063/79268 remained in service after their published withdrawal, 79061/79271 were withdrawn instead in November 1968.
