Gloucester parcel car M55988 in Manchester Victoria sometime in May 1966. David Russon.
A Gloucester parcel car, probably on Newton Heath depot circa late 1966 or 1967. It is in an early version of the Rail Blue livery, with red buffers beams, BR logos on the cab doors, and three inch numbers - always hard to read in photos - but this seems to be M59988. Also of note are the yellow exhausts, blue solebar, and the short-lived use of brown for underframe equipment and bogies. Stuart Mackay Collection.
Gloucester RC&W DMPV 55988 in Preston station with a BG in tow, circa 1971. John Grey Turner.
