Two new six-car Swindon Cross-Country sets at Birmingham Snow Hill on 22nd March 1958. On the left is the 3.40pm to Swansea, right is the 12.10pm from Cardiff. These trains ran via Stratford-upon-Avon. Note the letters carried on the side of the set on the right, the 'C' is just behind the driver's door. Michael Mensing.

Basking at Beeston. Standing in a patch of welcome sunlight Class 120 M50657 is the rear car of the 09.11 Nottingham to Derby service on 22/08/1981. Beeston station was built in 1847 by the Midland Railway, the single storey station building with its intricate gables is a joy and the later addition of the ridge and furrow awning fits in well with the character of the building, the same cannot be said for the concrete footbridge however.
