DMU set TS616 (presumably 53834 + 59607 + 53887, a 116/127/116) is seen at Newport waiting to depart with the 14:15 local to Chepstow on 27 July 1985. Stuart Mackay Collection.

Class 116 DMU at Machynlleth depot

10th August 1987

Class 116 set TS616 seen in Machynlleth shed on 10 August 1987. Behind ex-GWR 4-6-0 7819 "Hinton Manor", which was in betwen working a series of special trains between Machynlleth and Barmouth, is another DMU and appears to be a Class 117. Lewis Bevan.
