Class 119 DMU at Shrewsbury

circa 1969

A Chester-based GRC&W Cross-Country DMU at Shrewsbury circa late 1960s. DMBC M51074 carries set number CR557 in the left cab window, and Railway Observer noted the other two vehicles in the set in June 1969 as 59433 and 51086. Graham Clark.

Class 119 DMU at Chester

circa early/mid-1970s

A Class 119 DMU, M51074 on the rear (closest) with Wolverhampton High Level on the blind and Chester set number CR557 in the left cab window, passes under Canal Street bridge at Northgate, Chester, circa early/mid-1970s. The more modern bridge at the higher level takes the A5268 into and out of the city. Stuart Mackay Collection.
