Class 108 DMBS E53602 in Taunton station on 22 July 1987. Transferred from Neville Hill to Bristol Bath Road in May it has its new set number B960 but the E prefix on the vehicle number remains. Stuart Mackay Collection.

Class 108 DMU set B960 (54197 and presumably 53602) brings an evening Swindon to Warminster train into Westbury on 15 August 1987. Stuart Mackay Collection.

From Yorkshire to Westbury. A surprise visitor to Westbury in November 1987 was class 108 set B960 on a Weymouth to Bristol working. Formed of 53602 + 54197, these had been Yorkshire vehicles from new, but reallocated to Bristol just a few months earlier. Murray Liston.

Symmetrical Strangers, almost. On the left we can see a surprise visitor to Westbury in November 1987, class 108 twin set B960 on a Weymouth to Bristol working. Formed of 53602 + 54197, these had been Yorkshire vehicles from new, but reallocated to Bristol just a few months earlier. The BRCW class 118 DMU on the right had been a Devon / Cornwall unit from new, but was reallocated to Cardiff in 1986 where it gained the Red Dragon branding. It was moved to Bristol a month before this photo was taken, the set number changing to B480 when it was seen at Westbury on a Bristol to Weymouth service, the numbers were W51327 + W59470 + W51312.
