Class 101 DMU at Polbrock Bridge

30th April 1977

The Lea Valley Railway club ran a tour to Wadebridge on 30 April 1977 which for part of the journey used two Met-Camm units (B800 + B802) that were unusual in Cornwall at the time. It is seen at Polbrock Bridge near Grogley Halt on its way to Wadebridge with W51521 and presumably W59550 in view. Roger Geach.

Class 101 DMU set B802 (presumably 51449 closest) in Swindon station on 15 September 1977. Train destination panel not painted over. Left wiper not present. Right wiper looks faulty. martin mitchell.

Class 101 DMU set B802 (51521 and presumably 59550 + 51449) departs from Swindon. Date unknown, it seems freshly painted (into blue/grey) post refurbished livery but before a headlamp was added so circa 1980/1. Paul Redmond.
