Class 120 DMU at Darby End Halt

Unknown date

A Swindon Cross-Country DMU (the set number appears to be 505) passes through Darby End Halt. The station - on the 'Bumble Hole' line between Blowers Green and Old Hill - closed in June 1964 and so this image was taken sometime between then (assuming it is closed - or just severely neglected?) and track lifting in 1968. Class 120 hybrid set 505 in Glasgow Central station in April 1986 (also still carrying EP514). It is formed of 53696, Class 101 centre car 59121 and M53669. Graeme Phillips Collection.
