A 6-car Class 126 formation arriving into its destination at Glasgow Central circa 1982. The leading vehicle in set 126 412 is SC51042. Ian MacDonald.

End of Days. Swindon Inter-City 126 412 (probably Sc51042) bringing up the rear of a six car set departing Platform 13 at Glasgow Central for the Ayrshire coast. Swindon 126 413 is leading and the resultant haze of exhaust fumes is drifting towards the camera. Probably Spring 1982. alicia hartman.

Trains passing near Elderslie on 6 March 1982. The approaching train is 3-car Class 126 DMU 126 412 (Sc51042 closest) on the 15.00 from Glasgow Central to Ayr. Tom Burnham.

DMUs stabled in Kyle Street Sidings (which was next to Ayr station) circa mid-1982. On the left is Met-Camm set 101335 with 59567 and 51804 visible, they face a Class 107. On the right is a Class 126 with 51042 closest. John Horne.
21st May 1983
Stripped of it's engines and with all windows boarded up due to asbestos contamination Class 126 DMBS SC51042 lies dumped in Falkland Yard, Ayr on the 21st May 1983. Withdrawn in August 1982 having spent all it's working life at Ayr MPD there was just one more journey to make...to the firing tunnel at Snailwell Yard, Suffolk where she perished during November 1983.
