B469 deep inside Vic Berrys stack, Leicester 11-11-90. "This is one of my most memorable shots I've taken. Not because its particulary breathtaking to look at, but because of the effort I went to to get it and its quite artistic. I saw the potential the week before, so next time I set off to VBs I was armed with a tripod. I had to clamber deep into the stack where it was as black as hell! It really was like caving! I had to feel my way round the camera - I could hardly see it! I ran off various exposures to get the right one, this being 8sec f5.6 64asa. I just wish I knew the vehicle number, its either 51311 or 51326. I searched all over it to find its number, even inside it, but no luck! Hopefully evidence will turn up in the future." Kevin Dowd.

The photo was taken peering round an inconveniently placed train of Brute trolleys on the platform! They were often useful for sitting on though. Last days of dmus on the Cross City line. With masts erected, electrification of the Cross City line is imminent. This class 118 dmu (T317, presumably 51329 59481 51314) has arrived from Redditch at Lichfield City as a class 150 waits to leave in the opposite platform. November 1991. Stephen Burdett.
