A Class 148 at Sheffield Midland in the late 1960s. Later known as a Class 114 DTC(L), this vehicle was classified as Class 148 at the time this slide was taken - believed to be late 1960s due to the presence of green liveried vehicles. Unusually, it lacks the yellow line above the first class accommodation, although window stickers are visible - it is unlikely to have been declassified by this early stage. A Class 114 DMU at Cleethorpes, c.1976, on what appears to have been a dull day, a Doncaster bound blue liveried unit on the right in platform 2 illustrates the top lamp still in operation. On the left is another Class 114 unit in the refurbished livery.
