Not a great quality image but the content is of great interest showing a burnt out Class 113 DMCL. It is likely 51770 - a victim of a fire on board the 7.58am Skipton to Manchester train at Shoe Mill, Baxenden, on 12 March 1964 which moved to Doncaster Works for cutting. Michael Boot Collection.

An official image (1 of 27, negative D766/3381/1) from a internal BR photo album titled "Part Refurbished Class 120 Prototype 1 and 'CIBA Giegy' Ceiling". This shows the ends of centre car W59278 and a DMBC, presumably long term partner W50723. The paint date on the underframe is 17/12/75. The exhausts have a grille over them to prevent anyone touching them, in particular anyone climbing up the steps from track level to reset the 'butterfly' or to split the gangways. British Rail.

Cravens DMUs in the early Rail Blue era. The driver trailer (possibly E56431) has no sign that first class is on offer, no yellow stripe or transfers on the windows. It has yellow cab doors, the vehicle facing has another short-lived variation from this era, a small yellow panel. Date / location unknown. Graham Clark.
