This Leeds to Sheffield Class 114 DMU has just passed Ecclesfield West and is running parallel to the former Great Central route via Ecclesfield East, whose tracks can be seen to the right. The ex-GC route latterly terminated just beyond the bridge in the background, at the Smithywood Coking Plant. The picture dates from the summer of 1982. Andrew Walker.
