These formations have been noted:

29th August 1962

A nine-car DMU formation working the 4.40pm Wolverhampton Low Level to Didcot seen at Aynho Troughs on 29 August 1962. At the front and rear are Derby-built suburban sets (later Class 116s), with a GRC&W Cross-Country set in the middle. Leading is DMBS W50070 displaying 'Birmingham (Old Hill)' on the destination blind. It has set number 326 in the cab window, meaning the centre car is presumably 59026, the set would later become TY526/TS526. Michael Mensing.

1964

Tyseley based Derby suburban set 326 just south of Bromsgrove in early 1964. W50070 leads. Michael Mensing.

26th May 1964

The 6.10pm Birmingham Moor Street - Henley-in-Arden arrived at Lakes Halt on May 26, 1964. M50070 leads. Michael Mensing.

August 1965

Tyseley set 326 led by M50095 having just left Wood End in August 1965. Michael Mensing.

29th March 1986

On 29th March 1986, 5 days after rail services returned to Bathgate, two Metro-Cammell 3 car sets, with 101326 leading, head away from the town with the 1203 service to Edinburgh. Initial duties on the line were shared between class 143 Pacer units and the indigenous 101s. Not surprisingly, the latter eventually took over all the services. Despite appearances this section was not double track, the line nearer the camera was for freight, primarily automotive traffic. The station was to close in 2010 when the through line to Airdrie was completed with a new station constructed nearby. Bruce Galloway.

26th September 1986

Met-Camm set (101) 326 at Ayr on September 26, 1986. The DMBS (furthest) is 51451, the other two vehicles are presumably 51520 + 59545. Hamish Stevenson.

February 1987

Class 101 set 326 seen in Princes Street Gardens in February 1987. The closest vehicle is thought to be 53183, still displaying set number 96 from its time allocated to Norwich. Andrew McConnell.
