4th May 1957
The first Derby suburban set on trial / driver training on the 4th May 1957. 50050 leads 59000 and presumably 50092 at Tyseley, taken at 3.47pm. Michael Mensing.
November 1957
Arrived at Tyseley with a Henley in Arden to Birmingham Moor street service is a Derby subrban triple DMU. These units had just appeared at Tyseley to replace the 2-6-2 tanks on suburban services, 30 years later they were still at work. The picture shows the extent of track at Tyseley at this time, the DMU is at platform 4 and at the side are up and down freight lines and also tracks for locos to leave Tyseley shed and reverse into the carriage sidings. The building on the right has gone, but the walkway behind the fence is still in use. Taken with a Kodak Brownie 127 when I was 10. Geoff Dowling.

The 10.00am Wellington - Leamington service is seen after leaving Tyseley station on 17 April 1960 (Easter Sunday). W50096 leads - a vehicle that would spent just ten years in traffic being withdrawn with accident damage in 1967. Michael Mensing.

A Swindon Cross-Country DMU at Tyseley sometime in 1962, Birmingham Snow Hill is on the destination blind. The depot is on the right where some Derby suburban triple sets can be seen. Stuart Mackay Collection.

On March 3rd, 1967, the 1.0pm Birminghan Snow Hill - Paddington "Birmingham Pullman" service is just after passing Tyseley station. This was the last day of the service. Michael Mensing.
