With one oval and one 'cut' buffer, a GRC&W single car DMU is seen in the original Redditch station circa 1971. It is presumably M55009 based on the set number TY054. Graham Clark.

My note says "Last train of the day at Redditch". Taken on September 14, 1978, the timetable was similar to that three years earlier, this makes it the 18.35 to Birmingham, the fourth and final train of the day. Set 507, presumably 50069 + 59007 + 50099. Jeremy Chapter.

The Grid Iron Grice railtour of August 1982 offered the novelty of class 56 haulage from the Southern Region for a tour of the West Midlands on 7 August 1982. 56 003 has backed onto the rear of the train at Redditch, as one of Tyseley’s mixed up class 116 sets arrives and has to use the adjacent platform. Tyseley set TS535 at Redditch on 4 April 1987. The closest vehicles, DMBS 53846, had recently arrived from Scotland hence the painted over set number and shed sticker under the driver's cab window. Jonathan Hazan.
