A Harwich-bound class 104 DMU runs into Mistley station around 1970. The Edme factory, which is still there today, looks interesting, although is no longer rail-connected. Scanned from a slide taken by the late Roy Dixon, now in my collection. Kevin Lane Collection.
A Cravens set passes a rake of Brighton Belle coaches at Mistley on its way to Harwich in the early 1970s. The DTC has what appears to be two rows of numbers behind the double arrow. Steve Davies Collection.
A Cravens unit enters Mistley station, working between Harwich and Manningtree in April 1983. The signal box was later moved to the East Anglian Railway Museum at Chappel & Wakes Colne. The DTC closest is possibly 56429. Kevin Lane.
