Passing Swindon Cross-Country DMUs at Elgin in July 1969. Both are probably working services between Aberdeen and Inverness, one in each direction, the left one in blue and the one the photographer is travelling on is still in green. Curly42.

The Brannch Line Society "Fiddichburger No 2" railtour is seen at the GNSR platform at Elgin (Elgin East) on 27 August 1979 having shunted there e.c.s. during a break. The tour then departed to Burghead from this platform. The station building, and canopies are still in situ as business premises (in 2025), much restored. Jeremy Chapter.
