A two-car Class 101 50208 closest displaying Pwllheli on the destination blind approaches Barmouth. Date unknown, the yellow cab door suggests late 1960s. Stuart Mackay Collection.

A Met-Camm twin trails a Park Royal set at Barmouth on 7 September 1968. Closest is DTCL M56340, still in green livery with original lining but it now has a full yellow end. It also has a first class stripe, unusual for green vehicles outside the ScR. It's DMBS is in Rail Blue with yellow cab doors. Both vehicles of the Park Royal are in Rail Blue with yellow ends. Park Royal DTCL M56152 leads a DMU formation out of Barmouth station with Machynlleth on the destination blind. Date unknown, the 3" vehicle number and the yellow cab door on the Met-Camm (third vehicle) suggests late 1960s. Stuart Mackay Collection.

Set: TY400
Barmouth on Sunday 20/8/1972. In a more enlightened era, Sunday services were offered to West Midlanders to enable them to spend a day on the Cambrian Coast. This 101 unit (with TY400 closest, presumably (50321 59114 50303) is preparing to run into Barmouth were it will work back to Birmingham New St. Another unit (CR251) rests in the excursion platform. A couple of Met-Camm DMUs at Barmouth. M56339 has a Chester set number in the cab window which seems to be CR231. Circa mid-1970s. Stuart Mackay Collection.
