circa 1981
A fantastic line up of Swindon DMUs at Ayr with numerous Class 126s and a stray Class 120. Undated, the 120 is probably an ex-Inverness set which dates it to 1980 or 1981. The sets in the bay platform will be on services to Glasgow Central, the units behind the wall on the right are in Kyle Street sidings. Stuart Mackay Collection.
12th July 1963
Two Swindon Inter-City DMUs are seen just east of Castle Kennedy (Stranraer) with the 9.00am Glasgow St Enoch - Stranraer Town service on 12 July 1963. They would work back north as the 1.30pm ex-Stranraer Harbour. Michael Mensing.
Date unknown
