(a)  Employment of vehicles available in 1959  (Cont'd)

Divisional Traffic Managers had been requested to submit schemes for introduction of full diesel services in these areas.

The present position in respect of maintenance and fuelling facilities at the depots concerned was noted.

(b)  Future pattern of passenger train services

Noted that the report of the Working Party on passenger services for the next five years was expected to be available in about one month.

2.  Allocation of units being built at Derby and by Contractors

Revised schedule of allocation attached as Appendix "B".

670.  RAIL BUSES FOR RURAL AREAS

Banbury - Bletchley Service

Noted that submission for withdrawal of passenger service now submitted to T.U.C.C., but date for consideration not yet arranged.

617.  INTER CITY SERVICES

Liverpool, Manchester, Huddersfield, Leeds and Hull Scheme (L.N.W. route)

Noted that Commission had now approved scheme, which is being sponsored by the North Eastern Region.
