Destination Blinds

South West 1960s

Black on white, fabric blind. Stamped with the printer EW MATTHEWS on the leaders at both ends.

South West England, 1960s, before the Southern Region lines were taken into Western Region.  Note brackets around station name suffixes at Bristol and Exeter.  CHARD would have been reached from Taunton, not Exeter.  It is curious that there are displays for small stations along the main line, such as MENHENIOT, ST GERMANS and DOUBLEBOIS, but not for St Austell.
