The vehicle was bought by the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, and was soon located at Goathland station as a static buffet.

The vehicle remained on it's bogies, although when the above 'composite' picture was taken on the 21/5/91 the vehicle had not moved in nearly 20 years. The entrance was via the gangway door to the right. It was one of three Class 126 buffet cars located at the station, 59098/59099 were used as camping coaches. Stuart Mackay
It is now located on the Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway, having been asbestos stripped before leaving the NYMR. It remains as an empty shell, while restoration work concentrates on the 5xxxx series Class 126 vehicles.
