116 DMU

An interesting Combination of DMU's is seen at Luxulyan Station possibly on a Newquay to Par service on the 21st of July 1973. The leading car is labelled as set P356 and thus it is likely to be Class 116 DMBS 50865. It is followed by two Cross-Country sets, the roof vents indicate that the first is a 120 and the second a 119. Then there is another plain blue car in the rear. The KDH Archive.

LNER Q6 Class 0-6-0 63407 heads for the shed at West Hartlepool past a Met-Camm dmu in the sidings at the north end of the station on 7 May 1966. The area has changed beyond recognition with the dock area being redeveloped as a marina. Alan Grange.

107 DMU

Class 107 (set 107434, presumably 52011 + 59791 + 51994) Kingsknowe August 1987. A line on which these "Hamilton" Derbys were very much associated. Here a Glasgow Central to Edinburgh working sets off for Slateford. Alistair Ness.

104 DMU

Class 104 (53504 + 59228 + 53556) at North Queensferry in August 1987. This BRCW class was unheard of north of the border when we cut our spotters teeth but by the mid 80s it was a case of "anything goes". Here we see a former Buxton based driving motor bringing up the rear of a Fife Circle train which is heading towards Inverkeithing. Alistair Ness.

101 DMU

Class 101 DMU set 101360 (presumably 53158 closest) at Burntisland in August 1987. By this time it was a case of "anything goes" on Fife Circle workings so SPT orange livery was not that unusual. Alistair Ness.

A hybrid DMU seen entering the east portal of Haymarket Tunnel in August 1987. A Class 101 DMSL is closest (thought to be 51534), the centre car is a Class 104 TBSL and should be 59215. Alistair Ness.

On 13.3.65 there was a rugby match between Warwickshire and Durham at Hartlepool which brought two special trains of supporters. One was hauled by Britannia 70020 Mercury and the other was a Midland Pullman set. The latter is seen in this view, along with another Met-Camm product. John Siddle.
