A tour was arrange on this day taking class 117 sets L402 and L405 around all of the many branches that then existed in the London Division of the Western Region. At Wallingford on 30th July 1978 L402 and L405 traversed the line that has now become the Cholesey and Wallingford Railway. Ian Buck.
