107 438 (presumably with 51999 leading) storms past Howwood Signal Box on its way to Glasgow - August 1982. Nice surroundings, G&SWR signal box, semaphore signals, easy (reasonably legal) farm track access and Ayrshire DMUs in full flight. The new A737 has permanently blighted this area.
