No details with this image. It shows two four-car Class 104 sets, possibly on an excursion. The location is believed to be between Grosmont and Goathland, near the Hole of Horcum/Saltersgate, passing a loop which comes to an end on the right. Stuart Mackay Collection.

The crew of the BRC&W triple set have a chit-chat on the platform at New Street as they await the departure time of the 1:37pm Birmingham New Street - Rugby train on March 3rd, 1958. This was the first day of this service after a one month delay. Michael Mensing.

February 1970
A dmu arrives at Buxton from Manchester in February 1970 on the LNWR route via Stockport Edgeley & Chapel-en-le-Frith. The white roof was a Buxton depot trademark. The tracks in the foreground led from the station to a junction on the line to Ashbourne by this time cut back to limestone quarries south of Buxton. The train is passing under the bridge which carried the branch line into the Up sidings. Pete LG99.
