An official image (London Midland Region publicity negative DM903) showing a four-car Met-Camm set in Carlisle Citadel station on 7 February 1957. These South Gosforth allocated DMUs had taken over the services from Newcastle a few days earlier on the 4th. Closest is DMCL E50148, the others should be TSL E59047, TBSL E59054 and DMCL E50149, all with 2+2 seating. British Railways.

Class 101 & 126 Largs 9 Oct 1982. The Met-Camm is set 101323, presumably 50148 closest. The Class 126, Sc51036 in view, was on the 'Ayrshire Wanderer' railtour. This tour was organised by the Swindon Preservation Society and used the same name as the previous year's BLS tour doing exactly what it said on the headboard. The class also remained in service for a bit longer than planned after the tour which had meant to see them being withdrawn from service the following day. Here we see the train at Largs. A Met-Camm DMU with NE50150 closest seen departing from Sheffield. The notes with the negative, taken by HC Casserley, had 1964 yet the centre car is in Rail Blue (with painted window frames and 3" numbers) which dates it to a few years later. Stuart Mackay Collection.

A five-car formation of Met-Camm vehicles departs westbound from York with a service for Bradford Interchange in the mid/late 1980s. The leading vehicle - 53151 - still carries its East Anglian set number 97. It had been transferred from Norwich to HT in May 1985, then to NL in the first half of May 1986.
