Class 101 51523, set number S804, is seen at Tyseley on 04.06.1988. It had been transferred from Landore Swansea to Tyseley via Chester. Note it still retains a First Class section. Andy Cole.

Tyseley's set T052 formed as a hybrid with class 101 53321 and out of sight class 116 53060, at Derby on 17/Jul/1992. 53321 still has it's former Norwich set number 104 and there is a patch between the centre and second man's cab windows where there was previously a mounting for an East Suffolk line RETB aerial. Class 101 53168 with class 116 51129 as Tyseley's hybrid set T056 stands at Derby station on the morning of 16/Jul/1992. The nearest vehicle is another which has recently been transferred, this time still retaining it's former Norwich depot set number (102) and RETB aerial from working on the East Suffolk line. 51508 Class 101 DMS, set number T057, is seen outside the factory at Tyseley 07.06.1992. This had just been transferred to Tyseley from Norwich and had yet to have the Norwich set number 100 removed. Andy Cole.

Class 101 51224, set number T076, is seen outside the factory at Tyseley on 26.12.1990. It had been transferred down from Scotland, and would go on to be refurbished and given the set number 101 679. Andy Cole.
