25th March 1989

Strathclyde Orange and Black vehicle Sc52001 sitting facing Class 26 26010 in the holding sidings above Dundee station. At the time I had no interest in Multiple Units so have no further information. Taken across the running lines below after the once extensive railway yards had been removed but before the current (2022) developments had been started. These sidings are still in use but the background is completely different. Alistair Fyffe.

Class 120 DMU set 535 at Camperdown Junction just east of Dundee Station. The rear car appears to be a Met-Camm vehicle. Jonathan Watson.

7th February 1990

Set: 107738

107738 (presumably 51999 + 59796 + 52030) is seen in Dundee station with an Arbroath service on the 7th February 1990. Mike Cooper.

140490 Dundee sees the arrival of a 107 set from Edinburgh Jason Hall.

30th March 1991

Set: 107027

107 027 at Dundee (Tay Bridge) on 30/3/91, it has just arrived as the 15.35 ex Carnoustie. The set has lost its centre car and looks very run down. The hourly Dundee-Arbroath local service had been reduced to Dundee-Carnoustie by this time and was soon to be withdrawn altogether. This left the stations between Dundee and Carnoustie with a very limited service, although there have been some improvements in recent years. Kenneth Leiper.
