101 317 at Largs on the Saturday of DMU services, 17th January 1987. Prior to full electrification to Largs, the new Class 318 service was terminated at Ardrossan with a shuttle DMU service onwards to Largs and Ardrossan Harbour. The last weekend of the DMU shuttle was operated by a somewhat raggedy collection of vehicles - the DMBS from 101 317 (51243) in blue/grey, a Class 107 centre car (presumably 59802) and DMS 51803 from 101 430 (both in Strathclyde Red). Set: 101692

101 692 (53170 + 59303 + 53253) at Largs station on 22/8/92. This was the 'Black Cat Railtours' tour of Glasgow and Ayrshire which visited interesting places such as Waterside, Killoch and Riccarton & Craigie. Not the nicest weather unfortunately. Kenneth Leiper.
