19th April 1986

Tyseley's DMUs, mostly class 116s, were seen at Kings Norton every few minutes while working between Four Oaks, Longbridge and Redditch. Class 108s did appear now and again but this 5 coach pair were working an Adex on 19 April 1986 which accounts for their presence on the down fast line. My notes simply mention that was a 5 coach 108 working an Adex with no detail from or to where the train was working. Peter Tandy.

51214 and 53263 at Norton, 12/8/88. Jerry Glover.

Set: 955

In Spring 1989 Class 108 DMU set (P)955, presumably 51933 + 52054, is seen passing the Taunton Cider Company premises at Norton Fitzwarren. "Paignton" is on the destination blind. Michael Mensing.

29th June 1990

Set: T321

T321 (53854 + 59723 + 53907) “Dusty Bin” (a nickname the set received after the catchphrase from a TV show) leaves King’s Norton with the 08:32 Lichfield TV - Longbridge, 29th June 1990. Gazza Prescott.

9th July 1993

Set: T317

On the 9th July 1993 51314 is at the front T317 on the 12:50 New St - Longbridge seen at Kings Norton, presumably with 59481 + 51329. Gazza Prescott.
