Two car Class 108 dmu, 54493 + 51942, crosses from down main to down slow at Kettering Junction. The service had originated at Bletchley and would terminate in another mile or so at Kettering. The destination blind shows "St. Albans Abbey". Taken on May 7, 1987. Mike Dean.
On 29 June 1987 Class 108 51570 leads 59367 (Class 116) + 59206 (Class 104) + 53628 (Class 108) on a Kettering - Bedford service at Kettering South. Despite the Tyseley set number, this was a Bletchley unit. Mike Dean.
A 2-car Class 108 DMU (with coaches 54493/51942) in Platform 1 at Kettering on 16 July 1987. I have this down as the 13.35 Kettering-Corby, but this platform faces south. Did the 13.35 depart south from Kettering with passengers, and then reverse to travel north? Or was the unit about to shunt over to Platform 3 to pick up passengers for its departure? Lewis Bevan.
Class 47 no. 47628 approaches Kettering station with a down ballast train and passes M55011 between duties on the Corby shuttle service at 13.20 hrs on 5 August 1987. Lewis Bevan.
A Class 108 2-car dmu, comprising vehicles 51916 + 51571 at Kettering to form a service for Corby (despite what s showing in the destination panel!) on 18 August 1987. As this was a south-facing bay at Kettering I assume the unit will shunt to one of the main line platforms before heading to Corby. Lewis Bevan.
The three-car 108 set led by 51572 will prove more than adequate for the day's last service to Corby as it waits at Kettering on platform 3 (as it then was) while an up Inter City speeds through platform 4. October 31, 1987. Mike Dean.
Class 122 55011 ticks over in the bay platform at Kettering between duties on the Corby service, November 25, 1987. Not much left of this scene, though Kettering Station box, now at Swanwick Junction, is a notable survivor. Mike Dean.
Mainly associated with Lincolnshire, some of the Derby built heavyweight units were subsequently moved away. Inevitably in its quest for non-standardisation, Tyseley received some. Here, trailer 54027 leads a Corby service into Kettering on 7/1/88. The car park to the right was the site of the steam shed. Mike Dean.
Class 122 single unit M55004 awaits departure from Kettering as the 19.14 hrs to Corby on 13 May 1988. On the left of the picture a 2-car Class 108 comprising M51914/M54279 is approaching to form the 18.45 hrs Kettering-Bedford. Lewis Bevan.

A Network South East Three Counties class 108, 54194 leading, 51916 pushing, waits at Kettering with a Bedford service. I don't know whether any passengers were confused by the destination displayed: in fact I don't know if there were any passengers. Taken on January 25, 1989. Mike Dean.
A hybrid dmu, made up from cars from Classes 108 and 115, waits at Kettering on 13 February 1989 to leave on the shuttle service to Corby. Closest is Class 108 DMBS 53599. Lewis Bevan.
Having just arrived from Corby, Network SouthEast liveried Derby built Class 108 DMU 54194 + 51916, is now on the Midland Main Line at Kettering, and will soon be returning to Corby on 2nd June 1990. This was the last day of regular passenger services over the Kettering-Corby route until February 2009. Andrew J Crowther.
