The 4.40pm Tamworth (Low Level) - Rugby service is seen at Nuneaton (TV) on March 11, 1961. It is formed of a two-car Met-Camm unit, M56342 closest, presumably with 51184. Michael Mensing.

The 5.35pm Birmingham New Street - Rugby service, formed of Gloucester and Met-Camm twins, take the spur from Nuneaton Abbey Street to Trent Valley on Sunday 22 September 1963. This was a scheduled diversion due to electrification work. Michael Mensing.

In the pouring rain my train made up of a 3-car Swindon Cross-Country dmu waits at Nuneaton station platform prior to departure for Leicester & Derby on 18th October 1974. Another LNWR signal box - Nuneaton Up Sidings Shunting Frame - overlooks the scene & the ornate LNWR awnings belie the modern electric scene. Pete LG99.

A class 116 dmu (set TS540, presumably 50832 + 59029 + 50885) has just left Nuneaton Trent Valley station and approaches the site of Nuneaton Abbey Street station (closed 1968) 28/8/1977 with a Leicester to Birmingham New Street service. The end cottage on the left bears evidence that the occupants were supporters of the notorious career criminal George Davis who was wrongly imprisoned for an offence but ended up committing numerous crimes!
