Ex-works W50725 is working with two Derby suburban vehicles on the 6.25pm Birmingham Moor St - Leamington Spa (G) seen at Solihull on the 13th July 1962. It is now loco green (and noticeably darker than the multiple unit green Derby vehicles) and has been given a right facing crest. Michael Mensing.
Hessle Road, Hull in Oct 1962, when a Class 104 (59226 closest) ‘split’ a set of wrongly clamped points. From my first-ever roll of railway photographs when I was aged thirteen. A Trans-Pennine unit, complete with Buffet car, runs into Botanic Gardens Depot in 1972. On the far left EE Type 4 399 and Brush Type 4 1996, both in green are stabled. On the far right EE Type 2 8316 is also trundling into the sidings. The photograph was taken on a Kodak Instamatic 25 camera and is scanned from a Kodak 126 negative. Syd Young.
