A 2 car Class 108 dmu (possibly E50621 leading) passes through the original station at Chapeltown, South Yorkshire, opened by the Midland Railway in 1897. New platforms were opened on 2nd August 1982 around 600m nearer the town centre and can be seen in the background. The line links Sheffield and Leeds/Penistone via Barnsley. Paul Braybrook.

'Trans-Pennine' class 124 unit (51956 leading) with a two-car Met-Camm on the rear passes the 'new' station at Chapeltown on the Sheffield to Leeds via Barnsley line in February 1983. I can only assume that this was during an engineering works diversion. Paul Braybrook.
