The Caernarvon Branch officially closed on Monday the 5th January 1970, but I have a feeling this was one of the last, if not the last train. Its snowy and foggy and a mystery 9 year old poses in front of the DMU heading for Llandudno on the evening of the 3rd January 1970. The KDH Archive.

To mark the final closure of the Caernarvon Branch in February 1972 after it had been re-opened following the Menai Bridge Fire, a special Farewell Caernarvon Railtour was run by among others the WRC and the NWRC on the 5th of February 1972. The 6 car dmu involved is seen in Caernarvon, with M56159 closest. The KDH Archive.
