A class 100 Gloucester twin car d.m.u. awaits departure from the old North Berwick station to Edinburgh Waverley in July 1969. Since January of the previous year the North Berwick branch had been a long siding from Drem. The branch was then under threat of closure. It didn't and is now electrified with a frequent service to Edinburgh. All that you see here is gone and the long siding shortened by a couple of hundred yards.
