A Class 101 2-car set with E54383 leading (recently renumbered from E56383) waits under the NER footbridge at Cottingham with a service from Bridlington to Hull on 29th July 1983. On the left, a Class 108 set departs for Beverley. Cottingham station has changed little since this photo was taken; the old footbridge still creaks under the weight of passing feet, but the 1st generation DMUs which served the line for 30-odd years are long gone.
