A Class 116 DMU formed of 53896 + 59355 + 53843 in Manchester Piccadilly after arriving with the 10.49 from Sheffield on 22 September 1987. Carrying a Cardiff Canton set number and Valleys branding - they had been transferred from that depot to Newton Heath earlier that month.
