A Swindon Works image (negative 5CR 80) showing the buffet area of brand new Cross-Country Trailer Second buffet 59255 on 8 January 1958. The lowered ceiling in front of the sliding gangway door hid the water tank for the buffet. Next to the passenger door on the right is a fire extinguishers, above is the vehicle lighting control panel, the bakelite switch above was possibly for the small reading lamps fitted to the luggage racks.
