Details

An official image (Derby Works, negative unknown). No details other than 'inside one of the new diesel trains'. Some detective work - it's a Derby Lightweight, the seating is from the 79xxx era. It's a DMBS (floor hatches and partition into the van). There is no small rear saloon and LMR style seating, which means it should be one of the 46 vehicles built to diagram 633 and initially used in Birmingham, Manchester and North Wales.
