Refurbished Class 101 Metro-Cammel unit B805 (50329-59122-50304) forming a Cheltenham-Swindon service leaving Gloucester on Tuesday 31st July 1979. It is plainly evident here why the white and blue band livery for refurbished DMUs was a short-lived concept and application, it proving impossible to maintain them in a presentable condition. This particular unit, presumably one of the earlier ones to be so painted, was noted during the following April wearing the BR standard blue and grey livery.
