The 49-strong fleet of Class 114 2-car DMUs spent most of their working lives based at Lincoln depot. Although a local type with standard bus seating, they had a wide sphere of operation in Eastern England, covering Lincolnshire, Humberside, Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire, but regularly worked deeper into West / North Yorkshire, reaching Darlington in the north and Peterborough in the south. They often worked into Leeds on services to / from Sheffield, and here, 53046 & 54042 are sen at City station with a Sheffield service on 14/06/1987.
