They were delivered in lined green with whiskers, red bufferbeam, white tyres and a grey roof. By the late '60s all blue livery was applied, with full yellow ends.

Some did appear in the early blue livery, with small yellow panels. A picture of a blue 113 appeared in the Modern Railways magazine of March '70, taken in March '67.
