51813/42 made their passenger debut on the 2/3/91 at the East Lancs Railway, booked to work the 10:00, 11:00 and 12:00 services from Bury, but also had to rescue the failed steam loco on the 13:00 and work the remaining services. The centre car was later bought from the Battlefield Railway. The set moved to the Wensleydale Railway in 2003.
