was "bought" but was destroyed by fire at Darlington before renovation and now scrapped

Gloucester & Warwickshire Railway
54356 This car was previously used as 6300, the Kyle of Lochalsh observation saloon. It was withdrawn in ‘95 when the line was ‘sprinterised’. Originally bought by the NDRM on behalf of a private individual, it moved to the G&WR to be part of a dedicated dining train. It is out of use and was offered for sale, with no takers.

Great Central Railway
The four vehicles were bought by Renaissance Railcars from Railtrack, these being ex-sandite vehicles that had been stored at Longsight then Derby. They were joined by 53266 in April 2005.

Mid-Norfolk Railway
51434 and 51503 came from set L836, the last 101 based at Norwich and Tyseley, and was used as a route learner. 59117 formed part of set L840 at Reading, made surplus when the Turbos took over, and purchased after being ‘found’ at Derby. They were formerly preserved at the Swindon & Cricklade Railway, owned by Matthew Smith. They moved to Dereham in June '02.

59575 operated in both 101 and 111 sets over the years in the NER. It was bought by the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway and ran as hauled stock. It went from there to the Manchester Museum of Science & Industry. It was later sold as scrap to MC Metals due to the asbestos insulation but was saved at the last minute, and must be one of very few vehicles to leave MC's without being asbestos stripped. It is now located on the Mid-Norfolk Railway owned by Railcar Enterprises. It has been decontaminated there and is in the "queue" waiting to be rebuilt internally.

51226 / 51499, former Corkerhill set 695 arrived at the railway in late 2003.

59539 was bought from store by a private owner and moved to the MNR, little happened to it there before it was sold and moved to the NYMR in 2006.

North Norfolk Railway
The Railway bought the 101 as a replacement for the privately owned 117 it was using, the Met-Camm being more appropriate to the area.

Spa Valley Railway
54408 arrived on the line on the 4th February 2004. The plan was to use it with restored Class 115 51669 until the other 115 51849 is complete, and then convert it to a loco hauled observation saloon.

50160 / 50164
These two vehicles arrived on the Elsecar Railway on the 15th March 2005, but moved to the Chasewater Railway in November 2006.

Misc
51505 was originally at the East Anglian Railway Museum before moving to the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway, arriving on the 12th June 2007.
