56315 was delivered new to 64A in January
1958 paired
with 51123. It was withdrawn in January 1974. It went into private use as
part of the Fisons Weedkiller train in July 1974 numbered FA99900.
It was ultimately cut up by Vic Berry at Leicester in March 1990.

Ken Barnes kindly sent in these pictures after seeing the
shots of the experimental liveried Gloucester cars in update
78. It seems that 56315 was sent to St Rollox for it's
conversion for use on the weedkilling train, where these two
shots were taken in restricted conditions. The car was still in it's experimental livery, but this
shows that a
blue stripe was also tried as well as the earlier orange stripe, this one having
the BR Logo below rather than on the stripe. These shots also show
the front window that was replaced in the front saloon. Ken
