Notes

23/04/56 - E79061-3 with E79277-9 were used to operate the British Industries Fair services between Birmingham New Street and Castle Bromwich which ran from the 23rd April to 4th May. Afterwards they were sent to Derby.
07/05/56 - E79062 / E79278 were used to convey a special party between Stanton Gate and Crewe.
12/05/56 - A private charter was organised by the father of an RCTS member from Ipswich via Bury St.Edmunds, Ely, Sleaford and Lincoln to Doncaster (for a tour of the works) using 79043/79259. On the return journey there were signs of possible overheating at Lincoln so 79062/79278 were provided for the rest of the journey.
